Festival of Praise
Saint Albert the Great Church

Saturday
August 10, 2019

7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Jesus’ call to us.

We will be back at Saint Albert the Great Church for the August Festival of Praise.

This month’s theme, Jesus’ Call to Us, reminds us that Jesus loves us totally, whether we are good bad or indifferent. Our love for one another must have that quality too. In accepting Jesus’ love, we accept the reality that we must love others in this same way. Jesus offers us the strength needed to this. He does not abandon us!

The Festival of Praise is a beautiful service rich with motivational songs praising Jesus which remind us of the power of Jesus and the love He has for us. The service will also include an inspirational homily by Father Joe Freedy, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament ending with benediction.

An open invitation is extended to you, your family and friends, to join with us in celebrating the love of Jesus. Visit our Festival of Praise page on the Catholic Community of South Pittsburgh website.

March for Life

Friday, January 18, 2019

Washington DC

Deacon Tim is organizing a bus trip for the 2019 March for Life, which will take place on Friday, January 18th in Washington, DC. Since the 1973 Supreme Court cases, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, which legalized abortion-on-demand in our country, over 60 million lives have been lost to abortion. Ending abortions and promoting a culture of life is why we march each year.

Deacon Tim is trying to determine which size bus to reserve for our group. If you are interested in joining us, please send an email to deacontim@verizon.net.

If you cannot join us, please pray for our safety on the trip and for the end to abortion. “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless.” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer
